We celebrated our country India’s Independence Day with much enthusiasm.
The festivities commence with a Flag ceremony, outdoors. In a beautiful display of unity, students from all classes came together to harmoniously sing the National Anthem., which was preceded by a short discourse about India’s independence day history. Students later viewed engaging videos and captivating songs which vividly conveyed the story of India's struggle for independence. Students Dressed as valiant freedom fighters, embodied the spirit of their chosen heroes and heroines. With pride, they eloquently expressed a few heartfelt words about their selected characters, showcasing their understanding of sacrifice and bravery. Later our budding Junior chefs showcased their culinary skills to create Tri-Coloured Fruit Popsicles.
Apart from the above common activities, students of the Toddler and Nursery class- demonstrated their creative prowess through a group activity centred around crafting Tri-Coloured Peacock handprints and Tri-Coloured Balloon crafts. Junior KG students demonstrated their patriotism by creating individual flags, through the technique of vegetable printing. Senior KG students displayed their artistic skills through a group art and craft activity depicting the symbols of Independence Day.
This event not only ignited a spirit of patriotism amongst our students, but also nurtured their understanding of history, unity, and the value of cherishing our nation's heritage.
